So this is him.

Marcel, a 90’s born in Barcelona, grown by the Mediterranean.

He grew up as a child surrounded by cardboard and paint, by pencils and tape. Then ended up as an adult, but that hasn’t changed.

He always gets inspiration from around the world, from the places he visits and the people he meets, and transforms it into new creations, into design. As he says, hopefully to inspire others and be able to give back as much as he gets.

Studied Engineering in Industrial Design and Product Development at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, in Terrassa, Spain
(2014 - 2018)

Then spent a year in Aalen, Germany, at Hochschule Aalen, deeping into product and industrial design
(2018 - 2019)

And finished back in Barcelona to specialize in furniture design, studying a Master at Elisava Barcelona School of Design and Engineering

Also enrolled an online specialization course in Graphic Design from the California Institute of the Arts

And even was officially trained in industrial 3D printing with the HP Jet Fusion 500/300, 4200, 5200 3D Printer Series Service and Support Service Qualification by the HP Training Center

His very first recognition was being awarded with the 1st prize in a painting contest in Barcelona, organized by La Caixa, when he was 6 years old. He still keeps that prize at home.

Older and exploring new fields, the Universitat Pompeu Fabra recognised his project “Why couldn’t Leonardo da Vinci’s air screw fly?” with the Award for the Best Research Project in Engineering and Applied Mathematics.

Also won the graphic design contest organised by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya to design the corporate image of the year.
